A woman swimming in Japan was rescued after being involved in the beach 80 kilometers (50 miles) from her and her friends.
The 20 -year -old Chinese citizen wearing a rubber ring stayed in the water for 36 hours, and was discovered by a cargo ship near the south of Tokyo.
According to Agence France -Presse, a small ship nearby received alarm and two crew members jumped into the sea to rescue her.
According to the Kyodo News Agency, the Coast Guard helicopter then sent the dehydrated but sober woman to the hospital.
On Monday night, the police received an alarm that the unknown woman disappeared after swimming in Shizuoka Prefecture in the southwest of the capital.
“It was around 7:55 pm at that time [10:55 GMT] On July 8th, the woman’s friend reported to a nearby convenience store that she was disappeared, and we received the news, “officials of the local Japanese coast guards told AFP.
He said that the “straight distance is 80 kilometers” between her beach and the rescued place near the Chiba County Fangfang Peninsula.
“But it is speculated that she drifted a farther distance.”
The woman told the rescue staff that she was involved in the sea and could not return to the beach after being involved in the rubber circle.
