50 Cent was hacked by people shilling for meme coins, and the plan apparently worked.
50 Cent said Saturday that his X/Twitter account and website ThisIs50 were hacked by hackers who were promoting a cryptocurrency called $GUNIT, you know, like the rapper’s one-time band G-Unit.
According to 50 Cent himself, the hack was quite successful.
He wrote on Instagram: “My Twitter and Thisis 50.com were hacked and I have no connection to this cryptocurrency. Twitter locked my account very quickly. Whoever did this, within 30 minutes Just made $3 million.

The numbers provided by 50 Cent cannot be verified. Cryptocurrencies do provide scammers with the opportunity to add value and make money quickly.
After all, this is not an uncommon scam. Some hackers took over a well-known account and increased the value of some cryptocurrencies through posts.
