U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, representing oversight of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Garland testified about the Biden administration’s weaponization of the Justice Department.
Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz (Fla.) asked Merrick Garland about the situation with Biden’s Justice Department goon Matthew Colangelo.
Prague’s chief prosecutor, Matthew Colangelo, previously worked at the Justice Department (a Biden appointee) and is a lifelong left-wing activist.
Biden sent Matthew Colangelo to New York to convict his main political rival on non-criminal charges.
Why did Matthew Colangelo move from a senior job at the Justice Department to work in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office?
This is clearly a political move aimed at neutralizing Biden’s main political rival, Donald Trump.
Matt Gaetz feuded with Merrick Garland over Colangelo’s bizarre career choice of resigning to the local district attorney’s office.
“There’s no problem sending Matthew Colangelo,” Gaetz said.
That triggered Garland.
“That’s false,” Garland said.
“He started this extraordinary downstream career at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and then suddenly showed up in Alvin Bragg’s office looking for Trump,” Gaetz said.
Garland responded: “I think he applied for a job there and got the job. I had nothing to do with it.

We’ll be hearing from Matthew Colangelo soon.
Chairman Jordan called Bragg and Matthew Colangelo to testify at 10 a.m. on June 13.
Chairman Jordan launched an investigation into Matthew Colangelo last month.
Jordan specifically named Matthew Colangelo in his letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.
“The Judiciary Committee is conducting oversight of politically motivated prosecutions of state and local officials. Since last year, elected prosecutors — who campaigned on a promise to prosecute President Trump — have engaged in unprecedented abuses of prosecutorial power: prosecuting former and current U.S. presidents. The leading candidate for the position is District Attorney for New York County (DANY) Alvin Bragg, who is involved in one such politicized prosecution, led in part by former senior Justice Department official Matthew B. Matthew B. Colangelo. “Therefore, in light of the fact that the Department of Justice is assisting in Bragg’s politicized prosecution, we are writing to request information and documents related to Mr. Colangelo’s employment,” Jim Jordan at The Portal Expert reads a letter obtained.
Chairman Jordan said Colangelo’s recent experience with the Justice Department “demonstrates his passion for investigating an individual rather than prosecuting a crime.”
