In highly anticipated Montana Senate race, Navy SEAL Tim Sheehy wins the Republican nomination in a field of three candidates, defeating red-state Democratic Sen. Jon Tester (Jon Tester).
Shea secured the nomination during Tuesday’s primary, with strong support from conservative leadership in Congress making him the Republican choice to take on the three-term Democrat.
“America is at a crossroads, and we need a new generation of leaders to save our country. Joe Biden and Jon Tester’s reckless agenda has given us skyrocketing food, housing and energy prices, and allowed illegal Open borders where immigration, drugs and crime spread.

“As a Navy SEAL who has always put country before person, I am running for the U.S. Senate to end Joe Biden and Jon Tester’s inflation, seal our borders, and ensure the safety of our children. future and putting America first! I am humbled and honored by all the support and look forward to finally retiring the No. 1 recipient of lobbying cash and pro-Biden liberal Jon Tester,” he continued.
Seal defeated former Montana Secretary of State Brad Johnson in the primary.
The conservative, a Purple Heart recipient, has also been endorsed by Republican presidential candidate and former President Trump, who called him an “American hero.”

“I love Montana!” Trump wrote on his “Truth Social” account. “Tim Sheehy is an American hero and a highly successful businessman from the great state of Montana. He has the support of our incredible NRSC Chairman Steve Daines and many other patriotic Senators and Republicans Huge support, they support our movement to make America great again!”
Republicans see the Big Sky State as one of their best chances to take back control of the Senate as Democratic testers try to hold onto seats in the red state for a fourth term.
Tester has portrayed himself as a moderate in the Senate, but Shea accused him of switching sides in an election year.
“You know that’s what he does. Five out of every six years, he’s a dyed-in-the-wool liberal, staunch progressive. The votes are in lockstep with Schumer and Biden and every other progressive in the country,” Hope said. Yi told Fox last November. “Then, in his election year, he tried to go back to the center and act like a moderate.”
Shea quickly emerged as Senate Republicans’ choice to take on Tester on the November ballot, and has been joined by Sens. Steve Daines, R-Mont., and Senator Marathon R., R-Fla. Supported by Marco Rubio, Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton and Arkansas Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith. Nurse Ted Budd, Oklahoma Republican Markwayne Mullin, Tennessee Republican Bill Hagerty, Tennessee Republican Marsha Blackburn and Wyoming Republican John Barrasso .
