Here’s Lynch’s video for “Sublime and Eternal Love,” giving us our first taste of Memories of Cellophanehis new album Christabel.
Chrystabell – player Charming FBI Agent Tammy Preston exist Twin Peaks: The Return— Lynch has been a creative collaborator since their first meeting in 1998, including a song on the soundtrack to Lynch’s latest film, 2006 inland empire. This latest project, available August 2nd from Sacred Bones, also features contributions from the late Angelo Badalamenti, whose sonic legacy will forever be associated with twin peaks (also blue velvet and mulholland drive).
“The Origins of the Chrystabell and David Lynch Albums Memories of Cellophane Coming from a vision David experienced while walking through a forest of tall trees at night, he saw a bright light in the tops of the trees,” the press release reads, which…yeah, sounds about right. It also promises that “to experience this album is to see the first glimmers of mystery that happened long ago in the midnight forest, and to hear the sounds that inspire love to return from the darkness.”
