Atlanta-based record label Love Renaissance (LVRN) announced Thursday (June 6) its investment in Jerk X Jollof, a platform that celebrates Afro-Caribbean culture.
The move marks a key step in LVRN’s expansion into the African Caribbean entertainment sector, left ventricular circulation network said, but did not disclose the size of its investment.
AssholeFounded in 2016, it is recognized for its immersive experiences that seamlessly blend music with cultural celebrations. The company originated in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and was founded in Detroit.
The platform brings together experiences from national conferences, including the National Society of Black Engineers and the annual Medical Education Conference. Jerk X Jollof says on its website that it hosts signature pool party events called “Island Hours” and helps promote Detroit concerts by African and Caribbean musicians such as Seun Kuti, DJ Lag, Sister Nancy and Chronixx.
Following a successful collaboration at New York Fashion Week 2022, LVRN said it sees potential to deepen its collaboration with Jerk X Jollof.

Since its investment, Jerk Music icons such as Davido and Chris Brown have also appeared at Jerk X Jollof events.

A collaboration between LVRN and Jerk X Jollof also created the Jerk X Jollof stage at Promiseland Australia in October. Following the Jerk X Jollof Sydney and Melbourne tours, the team curated the festival’s Appiano stage, called the Jerk
