CBS reports that historically women’s basketball player Caitlin Clark has been left off the Olympic team.
A group of female basketball players unknown to most people will represent Team USA at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
CBS Sports reports (via The Gateway Pundit):
Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is expected to be left off the U.S. women’s basketball roster for the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris, 247Sports’ David Eickholt confirms.
USA TODAY’s Christine Brennan first reported it shortly after midnight Saturday.
Clark, who became college basketball’s all-time leading scorer earlier this year, is currently putting up some impressive numbers in the WNBA.
In her first 14 games, she averaged 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.5 steals. She also has two 30-point games — including one in the Fever’s 85-83 victory over the Washington Mystics when she hit a career-high seven 3-pointers. With this performance, Clark became the fastest rookie in WNBA history to score 200+ points and 50+ assists.
According to reports, the US men’s and women’s basketball rosters are as follows:
Caitlyn Jenner commented on the shocking news, “Boom! I so, so much agree with you. I’m going to keep my opinions of these “decision makers” to myself as much as possible. This makes my blood boil.
Prosperity! I very much agree with you. I will try to keep my opinions of these “decision makers” to myself as much as possible. This makes my blood boil.

David Portnoy of Barstool Sports commented on the news:
“Okay. I’m at Saratoga Belmont Day. Looks spectacular and like the usual shoes, a blast. But this is about Caitlin Clark being left off the Olympic team. What the heck do these women have How stupid? I don’t know who’s making the decision, the women’s Olympic committee, whatever it is. I don’t care if you think Caitlin Clark doesn’t belong on this team talent-wise, even though she does play. The 37-13 mark was like the highest score by a rookie in league history.
None of this matters. These women, I love women, I’m a pro-women’s man, a women’s man. They complain, cry about equal rights, equal wages, blah, blah, blah. Hey, fools, for the first time in basketball history, you’re arguably the most popular player in the world.
You could probably argue by now that Kaitlyn Clark is the most talked about, discussed, popular, and exciting single basketball player in the world. You can argue with that. Yeah, you can say maybe LeBron, Luka, you name it, but you can argue. And then you left her off the Olympic team. It’s a showcase not only for her, but for the other WNBA players in this sport and this team.
How stupid, how stupid, what an idiot must be the people running this? One thing happened to her after another. The business part of my brain is like, these people, maybe people, whoever they are, I don’t want to hear you complain about flying commercial or not getting paid or this or that.
you’re too dumb. you’re too dumb. You have a money tree. This could make Olympic basketball, women’s basketball, the first thing people watch with Kaitlin Clark. In fact, I’d rather watch the grass grow. I’d rather watch the paint dry. I’d rather watch the dirt being moved because Caitlin Clark isn’t on the team. If she’s there, it’s appointment TV. You guys, whoever did this, honestly, hey, take your brain out, put it in a museum and study how stupid you are.
Here comes the roar. – Caitlin Clark quitting the women’s Olympic team is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard pic.twitter.com/RXg0XwFwtN
