Four hostages kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova music festival during the October 7 attack have been rescued from central Gaza.
The Israel Defense Forces said Noa Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrei Kozlov, 27 ) and Shlomi Ziv, 41, were released from two separate buildings in the Nuseirat area in a “high-risk, complex mission.”
The IDF said the four were in good health and had been transferred to “Sheba” Tel-HaShomer Medical Center, where they were pictured hugging their families.
Many Palestinians, including children, were killed or wounded in the areas where the operation took place, and images and footage showed a large number of casualties.
Gaza’s two hospitals, Al-Aqsa Hospital and Awada Hospital, said they had counted 70 bodies, while the Hamas media office put the death toll at more than 200.
Earlier, Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said the Israeli Defense Ministry’s Cogat, which is responsible for civilian policy in the occupied West Bank and Gaza, estimated the number of casualties to be less than 100.
