A longtime Disneyland employee has died two days after falling from a golf cart backstage at the California theme park.
Bonnye Mavis Lear, 60, died from injuries sustained after a fall on Friday, according to the Orange County coroner.
The Anaheim Police Department said in a news release that law enforcement responded to the crash scene at the backstage of the park around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Lear was rushed to a nearby hospital but died of his injuries two days later.

The 60-year-old has worked at the Disneyland Resort for 24 years and “supports membership services at Club 33, the theme park’s high-end private dining club.”
Disneyland Resort President Ken Potlock said in a statement to City Press that they were “heartbroken” by her death.

“We are heartbroken by Bonnie’s passing and offer our sincere condolences to all who cared about her,” said Potrock. “We are committed to supporting her family and our cast through this tragic event and Make sure they have the resources they need.”
