House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Cuomo (R-Ky.) acknowledged that his criminal referral was intended to allow Trump to prosecute President Biden and his family.

When Maria Bartiromo asked Fox News why he had not issued a criminal referral for the crimes he alleged the Biden family committed, Cuomo said:
We are just getting started with the many crimes committed by Malia and the Biden family. The statute of limitations has expired. That was one of the complaints that the IRS whistleblower said when he testified before our committee, but we’re going to deal with them, and we’re going to deal with Joe Biden. Remember, this is an investigation of Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Jim Biden, and Devin Archer. These are all witnesses in the Joe Biden investigation. This is always about Joe Biden. Now we are going to do everything we can to hold Hunter Biden and all of his different suspected associates accountable.
This is just the beginning, the next step will be to hold Joe Biden accountable. I think everyone following this investigation will be very eager to see what the next steps are. That’s the first step, these criminal referrals, everything we turn over to the Department of Justice is within the statute of limitations. In fact, there is a five-year statute of limitations. So if Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice doesn’t handle this in an appropriate manner, the next administration and the new Attorney General will certainly have completed the investigation. From these criminal referrals, we issued a 60-page report with nothing but solid evidence that no one disputed anything we presented in evidence.

Cuomo has never revealed what crimes President Biden is alleged to have committed because he has no evidence of any. Instead, he has been claiming that an investigation that has lasted more than a year and a half has just begun and has continued to try to lure Fox News viewers with more information.
Since Chairman Cuomo failed to impeach Biden, he will form a potential Trump administration to retaliate against Biden by issuing a series of criminal recommendations.
As Cuomo is laying the groundwork for political prosecution, his abuse of House oversight powers has taken a darker turn.
