Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims she is preparing to round up Donald Trump’s political opponents if he wins the election in November.
The congresswoman made the remarks during an appearance on journalist Kara Swisher’s podcast. With Kara Swisher.
“I mean, it sounds crazy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy threw me in jail,” she said. “He’s crazy.” I mean, his first campaign was all about “lock her up.” This is his motto.
Ocasio-Cortez added that Trump would “round up” his political opponents once in office and that she strongly supported Joe Biden’s re-election bid.
She continued:
I took him at his word when he said he was going to round up people. When he threatens reporters, I take him at his word. I take his word for it. I think what we saw during his first term as president is an interesting take on his intentions. He has learned from the mistakes of appointing professionals and will not make the same mistakes next time.

Trump does have a chance to win. That’s why I supported Biden early and strongly. There is no question that we are looking at the potential disintegration of democracy in the United States of America if Donald Trump wins, and the question of what will happen to me or the Democratic Party is a joke compared to the question of what will happen to our country.
The New York congresswoman isn’t the only elected Democrat to warn Trump will lock them up upon his return to the White House, with others even speculating that he is planning to assassinate people.
Back in April, California Rep. Adam Schiff said he was “seriously” taking the prospect of Trump sending him to prison and preparing for possible prosecution.
“We’re taking this seriously because we have to,” Schiff said at the time. “We’ve seen this movie before…how dangerous it is to ignore what someone is saying when they say they want to be a dictator.”
