Anti-Israel demonstrators are seen Monday night outside an exhibition at the Nova Music Festival in New York City, which commemorates the victims of Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack.
Video of the incident showed protesters clashing with police at a rally outside the exhibition, which protesters called “a day of rage across Gaza.”
Angry confrontations broke out when police ordered protesters to move away from barricades lining the streets.
Demonstrators chanted “Long live the intifada” and “Hell for Israel.”

Protesters also chanted “There is only one solution, and that is uprising and revolution.”
They were also seen lighting red flares, but police instructed them to put them out.
Smoke bombs were detonated and flags linked to the Iran-backed Lebanese terror group Hezbollah could be seen waving at the rally as the crowd began to become more radicalized. Banners reading “Long live October 7th” were also hung at the protest.
A group of Israeli supporters carrying Israeli flags were also present.
The exhibition, which opened to the public in April and will run until June 16, commemorates the victims of Hamas murder and rape at the Nova Music Festival on October 7. More than 350 people have been killed by Hamas.

“The Nova Festival exhibition is an in-depth commemoration of the brutal attacks on October 7th,” the exhibition says on its website. “Bringing the October 7th event and the Nova Tribe festival in southern Israel to New York City. The The installation aims to recreate an event dedicated to peace and love that was brutally interrupted by Hamas’s attack on Israel from Gaza.
Anti-Israel protests have continued across the United States, especially at colleges and universities, since the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas. In response to the attack, Israel declared war and launched retaliatory actions against the terrorist organization.
