If you want to add something you’ve already written, you can manually push the sentence to the side to add text before/after it.
Calculator App
Interestingly, I was most impressed by the launch of the calculator app during the entire keynote. First, the iPad finally gets a Calculator app, so you can ditch third-party calculators for your iPad. Second, the app will see a new Math Notes functionality, which may kill other calculator apps with limited functionality.
Using Math Notes you can write any mathematical expression (via your apple pencil), just write an equal sign in front of it and you will see the result pop up. It also lets you adjust your expression and have the results change before your eyes.
You can also display the results visually by having Math Notes generate a chart. The feature that excites the math nerd in me the most is that you can enable a slider to appear above one of the variables so you can play with it and see how it changes the curve of the graph.
Android
Apple is clearly trying to Android and its new messaging capabilities. Until now, users could react using one of the five standard reactions on iMessage. This will change with click feedback on iOS 18, which will give users multiple reactions to choose from.
