Joe Biden released a statement Tuesday afternoon after jurors in Hunter Biden’s criminal firearms trial reached their verdict.
Joe Biden made no mention of his son Hunter’s gun crimes. He focused on Hunter’s drug addiction to gain sympathy.
Biden made it clear that he would accept the outcome and “continue to respect the judicial process.”
“As I said last week, I am the president, but I am also a father. Gil and I love our son and we are proud of what he has accomplished today. Many families who have loved ones struggling with addiction understand what they are seeing in their lives. The pride of a loved one who came out of this and was so strong and resilient in their recovery,” Biden said.
“As I said last week, I will accept the outcome of this case and continue to respect the judicial process while Hunter considers an appeal. Jill and I will always provide love and support to Hunter and the rest of our family. Nothing can change that.” at this point.

But TGP predicts Joe Biden may commuting Hunter’s verdict.
A full pardon would absolve Hunter Biden of all crimes, and a commutation would reduce his sentence.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked Wednesday on Air Force One en route to Italy for the G7 summit whether Joe Biden would commute Hunter’s sentence.
“So you don’t rule out that Biden will commute Hunter’s sentence?” a reporter asked KJP.
Karine Jean-Pierre looked confused and did not answer the question.
