MSNBC’s Katie Phang breaks down the possible sentences Hunter Biden could face: “According to my colleague @darehgregorian, two of the counts carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, while the third carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison. Per Each count carries a fine of up to $250,000.
The story of Hunter Biden is a sad one about a man who fell into drug addiction after the death of his brother and made some serious mistakes. The president’s son must now face the consequences of those mistakes.
The Biden family has endured so much tragedy that, if anything, this conviction may spark more sympathy for a president who, even after nearly two years of Republican investigations, still has no evidence that he ever did anything Wrong thing.
Donald Trump has long claimed that the indictment and sentence he faces are part of some larger conspiracy orchestrated by President Joe Biden. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) even created a subcommittee on the Weaponization of Government, where he has spent years trying to find evidence that President Biden has weaponized government against his political opponents. .
Hunter Biden’s conviction proves there is no weaponization of government conspiracies. President Biden has not interfered with law enforcement and judicial proceedings and allowed his only surviving son to be prosecuted.
There is no “law”. There is only one convicted felon president whose excuses/conspiracies have been discredited.
