Former North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee won the Republican primary for Nevada’s 4th Congressional District and will face incumbent Democratic Rep. Steven Horsford in the November general election. Steven Horsford).
When The Associated Press called the race, Lee, who is endorsed by former President Donald Trump, was ahead of his nearest rival, Air Force veteran David Flippo.
Trump’s endorsement comes less than two weeks before the primary, but it appears to be enough to give Lee a chance to flip one of the House seats that could be more competitive for Republicans this year.

Lee served as mayor of North Las Vegas from 2013 to 2022, as a state senator from 2004 to 2012, and as a member of the state Assembly from 1996 to 2002.
Republicans currently lead the House with a slim 218-213 majority, which is smaller than the majority they will hold after the 2022 midterm elections after multiple resignations and expulsions.
