Artist management company UTA has named former Ingrooves Music Group CEO Bob Roback as its new chief operating officer.
Roback, considered a pioneer in digital music, will now run the Beverly Hills-based agency’s business operations and will oversee growth, strategy and technology, UTA said in a statement on Wednesday (June 12).
He will report to the CEO Jeremy Zimmer and chairman David Kramer. Roback successfully serves as Chief Operating Officer Andrew To, a position he holds while also serving as co-director of UTA Sports. To will now focus on working with sports talent.
Roback serves as Los Angeles-based CEO groove During his time at the helm from 2015 to 2022, the independent music marketing and distribution company expanded into many overseas markets, including Australia, Brazil, Japan, India, South Africa and Spain.
Perhaps most notably, Roback presided over the sale of Ingrooves to universal music group 2019.
Previously, Roebuck served as president and board member of Musical Instruments Inc. fender.

In 1994, Roback co-founded boot media, one of the earliest digital music companies. The final acquirer was Yahoo!, and became Yahoo Music. Roback served as the company’s head of music, overseeing its global music operations until 2007.
After leaving Yahoo, Roebuck co-founded Yahoo Inc. and served as CEO Dashboard, a workflow management system and music licensing marketplace. The company was acquired movie track In 2014, Roback also served as media farma company that owns and manages entertainment intellectual property.
