Louisiana authorities are searching for two young girls who were missing after police discovered their mother was “brutally murdered” in their Loranger home early Thursday morning.
Callie Brunett, 35, who had been missing since Tuesday, was found “brutally murdered” in her bedroom early Thursday morning, according to the Tangipahoe Parish Sheriff’s Office.
At a press conference Thursday morning, Sheriff Daniel Edwards said her two young daughters, Jalie, 6, and Erin, 3 unknown”.
Louisiana State Police on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office issued an AMBER Alert for the girls, who were last seen at the Loranger home around 8 a.m. Thursday.

Police say a domestic violence incident spiraled out of control, leading to the brunette’s murder and the girl’s abduction. Police are looking for an unidentified white man in connection with both cases.
Police said the suspect is believed to be driving a black 2012 Chrysler 200 with Louisiana license plate number 859GML. The right rear tire of the vehicle does not have a rim cover, and there may be damage to the rear of the vehicle.

Police warned: “The driver of this vehicle is believed to be armed and dangerous. Extra caution should be used.”

Authorities did not immediately reveal how Brunette died, but Edwards said there was “blood everywhere.”
