Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said she was “hearing on Capitol Hill” that Joe Biden would “most likely” be replaced as the Democratic presidential nominee before November.
Luna discussed the matter on Thursday’s show Jesse Waters Primetime.
The congresswoman told Waters, “A lot of people are realizing that Joe Biden may not be the nominee, and that’s what we’re hearing on Capitol Hill, Jesse. You know, Rep. Keeley has reported that Khama La Harris is actually considering running for governor of California because of this.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom has long been rumored to replace Biden, but he insists that’s not his plan.
“So you’re also hearing in Washington that Joe Biden is not going to be the Democratic nominee?” Waters asked.
“Correct,” Luna answered.
“It seems like our colleagues are trying to put guardrails up against President Trump in the 2024 presidential election,” Luna said. “And what you’re seeing is, based on our polling, you know, Jesse and I, they’ve been trying to put Republicans are really portrayed as being anti-women and trying to push abortion, and I don’t think that’s the case with the current electoral crisis.
Luna continued, “A lot of Americans do know this. This is a states rights decision. So I think they know they’re losing. It’s very obvious at this point.”
