NBC’s Joey Behar landscape She expressed concern that if Donald Trump returns to the White House in November, he will somehow cancel the show.
After inviting MSNBC left-wing anchor Rachel Maddow to join the panel, Behar responded to her recent claims that she could be targeted if Trump wins.
Behar said Trump could use agencies like the IRS or ask companies to pull ads to force shows to go off the air.
This is especially ironic given the left’s long history of targeting advertisers at conservative media companies as a means to make their businesses financially unsustainable.
She explained:
There are many people saying that if Trump takes office, he will seek revenge because of legal problems, personal problems, hair problems, etc. He always has someone to blame, you know? So you recently said you thought you, as an outspoken critic, might be a target yourself.
Some people think this sounds too dramatic, but I agree with you. I think he’s very vindictive and he’s going to pursue it, but he has to do it, whether it’s through the IRS, whether it’s through a sponsor, to get us or you off the air. Should we take this seriously?
Mado responded:
Okay, so someone asked me if I worry about myself, and my answer is I worry about all of us. I’m not worried about myself, I’m worried about everyone in this country.
I think it’s terrible that someone is saying give me as much power as possible in this country so I can use it to go after other Americans so I can use it to go after these inhuman internal enemies and destroy them . This is not a good system for anyone. I don’t think anyone is safe if that’s the basis for him to want more power.
