The U.S. Olympic women’s 3×3 appears to have been dealt another blow for the second consecutive night, with Atlanta Dream star Ryan Howard exiting Wednesday night’s game against the Minnesota Lynx.
Howard, who averaged 15.4 points per game for the team, left the game in the third quarter with a calf injury.

Atlanta head coach Tanisha Wright said Howard will be reevaluated on Thursday.
Howard is the second member of the U.S. Olympic women’s trio to be sidelined with an injury in as many days. Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink slipped on the court Tuesday night.
The Sparks announced earlier Wednesday that the Stanford rookie suffered a torn ACL. She will likely play out the remainder of the season and will certainly miss the Olympics.

TCU guard Hailey Van Lith and former Tennessee standout Cierra Burdick are the only healthy players left on the roster. Stephanie Dolson, Alyssa Gray, Jackie Young and Kelsey Plumb help Team USA capture gold in Tokyo.
Plumb and Young are members of the U.S. women’s 5-on-5 Olympic team.
It is unclear who the United States will replace Howard and Brinker with. A few names have been mentioned, including Aaliyah Boston, Dilica Hembree and Betnija Laney-Hamilton.
