Eric Trump has taken to Fox News to make excuses for his father’s possible presidential debate loss to President Joe Biden.
Eric Trump tried to claim that his father was omnipresent at a campaign event about once a week, then said this during the Fox News Sunday Morning Futures debate:
Don’t get me wrong, this is still CNN, right? This is Jake Tapper. Jake Tapper compared my father to Hitler. When my dad would hold press conferences, Jake Tapper would be yelling from his control room to shut this guy down. I can tell you who these people are. You know who they are, you’ve seen them before. When I walk into the courtroom every day, I see them sitting there with a smile on their face, I mean, just an ear-to-ear smile, right? So understand, he’s not just debating Joe Biden, he’s debating CNN.
I’m someone who never misses a debate, I attend every debate. Go back to the 2016 CNN primary debates, right? It’s the same thing. It was attack after attack. They can’t help themselves. You better believe Biden is going to get a lot of, you know, free passes, you know, you better believe they’re going to hit my dad.
Another thing I need to mention, Maria, it’s very telling that the president had to go to Camp David in the middle of the woods and effectively lock himself in a bunker for eight days because his policies were so unfortunate that he had to Find some way to refine them and try to build them with all his senior advisors. I can tell you my dad wouldn’t do that. My dad was on the right side of these issues and spent 10 or 8 days in the woods at Camp David trying to explain to himself that he wasn’t American, which I’m not sure was a big show of confidence.

Eric Trump’s comments were not about his father’s policies, or even Biden’s policies. Eric Trump yelled at debate moderators, suggesting the presidential debate would be rigged against Donald Trump.
The problem is that Trump agreed to participate in the debate. Trump agreed who the moderator would be, and Donald Trump agreed to the rules of the debate.
Donald Trump’s debate preparations have reportedly included Republican senators giving him oral policy briefings.
Here’s Eric Trump’s breakdown and an attempt to preemptively explain why Donald Trump might do so poorly at Thursday’s debate.
