Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., made clear what Trump’s return to the White House means for women and families.
ABC’s transcript of this week:
Raddatz: Tomorrow is the second anniversary of the Dobbs decision. Since that ruling, 21 states have banned or restricted early-trimester abortions under the standards set by Roe.
Will that really change even if Joe Biden is re-elected?
Warren: Yes, it changes.
We need three things. We need abortion. We need contraception, we need in vitro fertilization.
Republicans have blocked all three projects. They have made plans that say women will not be allowed to have these three items or have access to them.
Democrats fully support it. If we had the House, Senate, and White House trifecta, we would have Roe v. Wade again. With Joe Biden as president, not Donald Trump, we will provide women with as many protections as possible.
Understand this—and I want to say this as clearly as possible—if Donald Trump is elected president, he and extremist Republicans will pursue abortion, contraception, and IVF in every state in the country. It’s not just red states.

Senator Warren is right. Democrats all support that if they take full control of the federal government, they would make RoE the law of the land while protecting contraception and IVF. There is no doubt what the Democrats will do if they win, just as there is no doubt what Trump will do if he returns to the White House.
Democrats are expected to continue to emphasize this message, not only because it resonates with female voters but also because it is important to young voters.
The far right wants to ban abortion, contraception and in vitro fertilization, and the more voters understand this, the better it will be for Democrats in November.
