On Tuesday night, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson announced that the House would file an amicus brief in support of Steve Bannon’s appeal of his contempt of Congress conviction related to the illegal January 6 Committee J6 investigation.
On Tuesday night, Citizen Press tweeted “big news” about Steve Bannon:
1) The Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group (BLAG) voted 3-2 tonight to confirm that the official legal position of the House of Representatives is that the J6 committee is illegal, as are all subpoenas issued by the committee.
2) BLAG has now directed the House Office of General Counsel to submit an amicus brief supporting Steve Bannon to Judge Roberts.
3) Matt Gaetz explains in the video how the BLAG process works.
4) I spoke to Bannon in the last hour and he was optimistic.

The Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group (BLAG) is a standing body of the U.S. House of Representatives, established in 1993. BLAG directs the activities of the House Office of General Counsel, providing guidance and oversight on legal issues and decisions involving the House.
Speaker Johnson shared this hopeful news tonight during an appearance on Fox News with Sean Hannity.
Sean Hannity asked Speaker Johnson to update the audience on the latest action by the U.S. House of Representatives: “Mr. Speaker, it is my understanding that this may be a change in the House and its position on the January 6th committee , and possibly about the Steve Bannon situation, which could have a significant impact on his contempt case. Tell me what happened…”
Speaker Johnson responded: “Yes, we are filing an amicus brief on the appeals work in his case because we believe the January 6 committee was formed in error. We believe that work was tainted. We Think they may have well-hidden evidence or even more nefarious activity. We’ve been investigating the committee itself. We disagree with the way Speaker Pelosi put all of this together. We think it’s a violation of House rules. So we’re going to express that to the court, and I think that will help Steve Bannon’s appeal.

The Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group’s (BLAG) decision to declare the January 6 committee unlawful also announced its subpoenas, including one issued to Steve Bannon, which he ignored, allowing the J6 Witch Hunt Commission to charge him with contempt of court .
House Speaker Mike Johnson also appeared on CNN to discuss the House’s decision to a disappointed Caitlin Collins.
There is no comment here on Caitlin’s influence.
But it’s more important to note that CNN continues to spread the lie that the president cannot enjoy executive privilege when communicating with people outside the government (see end of clip… https://t.co/tqDGev77Vn

Last week, Steve Bannon failed in his appeal to postpone the July 1 start of his sentence for contempt of Congress, which is due to begin in July.
The far-left U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled against Bannon. Bannon, former chief strategist to former President Donald Trump, may seek Supreme Court intervention.
The House asked Rep. Byron Daniels today about the vote. Rep. Daniels (R-FL) responded to this tweet:
“If Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro are the standard for DOJ prosecutions, why is AG Garland the exception?
Garland believed his opinion was more important than the elected representatives of the American people.
He believed he was above the law.
This is a serious problem.
Congress must act.

Jeff Clark, a former dual assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, broke the news Friday morning on Twitter. Steve Bannon only has nine days left before he is sent to prison to serve four months until the 2024 election – the most important election of the past 150 years!
On Friday, Clark warned that Bannon was only nine days away from being released from prison.

Bannon’s team just filed an emergency stay petition with the Supreme Court. See a snapshot of the first two pages below.

It looks like the House of Representatives has thrown out the unfair accusations and sent Steve Bannon to the lifeboat! Pray for Steve Bannon, for the brave House members fighting to save innocents from Democrats who use the law to punish their political opponents, and for Chief Justice John Roberts to see clearly this pathology in the Democratic Party and crazy planning purposes.
