Steve Bannon will serve four months in federal prison on Monday for defying a 1/6 committee subpoena.
Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republican leaders are trying to save Bannon by filing an amicus brief with the court, an effort destined to fail as Republicans claim Bannon’s conviction should be overturned because the 1/6th Commission was illegally created. argument because the commission was based on previous special commissions used to investigate events such as 9/11.
