Donald Trump has a slight lead over Joe Biden in the blue state of New Jersey, according to Coefficient’s latest poll.
Trump has said he wants to take New Jersey seriously in this election, and if this poll is accurate, he appears to have a chance to do so.
It’s also important to note that this poll was conducted before Thursday night’s debate, which exposed Biden’s mental decline to the nation.
Red State Report:
Democrats are going to be furious: Shocking N.J. polls, new data in presidential race
If there’s one state worth betting on to keep Democrats in control, it might be New Jersey.
But now there’s a poll that’s truly shocking; Trump is leading by one point in New Jersey.
Trump leads Biden 41 to 40, with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at 7 percent and the undecided at 13 percent. “, that’s it. Biden’s approval rating is up about 16% in the 2020 election. If it moved that close, it would be incredible.
The polls are targeting likely voters, so that’s good. This was even before the debate, so that didn’t affect it. That might even tip the numbers more in Trump’s favor. A CNN snap poll conducted after the debate showed that 67% of people thought Trump won, compared with 33% of Biden.

I’m a mid-Atlantic guy…I do think this is an outlier, but the momentum is real. NY, NJ, and yes, even DE are different than CT or RI. It’s less white, less college-educated, and, except in parts of New Jersey, more working-class and middle-income. We’re not exactly a “coastal elite.” https://t.co/UAws10cOmu

If New Jersey were also involved, we would consider a Republican +5 or better result in Virginia. The Democratic Party has hit rock bottom. https://t.co/NpgvfV5tqv

If, and this is a huge if, accurate, that’s Jove. https://t.co/oNGfWSUsu9

Trump winning New Jersey in November would send shockwaves through the political and media worlds.
