Michelle Obama leads Trump in polls
While the idea of a president named Obama is scary, the Reuters poll appears to be wishful thinking.
Mrs. Obama has repeatedly denied any interest in running for president in 2024.
In an interview with The National, an American railroad magazine, she was asked: “If you thought the country needed you and you thought you could really help our country, is there a one percent chance that you would consider running?”
“As far as we and the readers of this magazine are concerned, the chance is zero,” Mrs. Obama responded.
In addition to Obama’s reported lack of interest, Biden has insisted he will focus his remaining brain cells on advancing his campaign.
“Let me say it as clearly as possible, as simply as possible, as directly as possible: I’m running … and no one is kicking me out. I’m not leaving,” he said during a campaign call. “I will fight to the end in this game and we will win.”
