Independence, patriotism and barbecue, oh my!
Former Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder and her husband Beau Clark are discussing an important topic on July 4th: What you eat and drink to enjoy the day celebration?
The couple got into a heated debate over the essentials of a Fourth of July barbecue on the latest episode of her eponymous podcast, “Stassi.”

As the couple ate burgers — a common barbecue staple — Schroeder expressed her disdain for the shape of some of the patties.
“Some people like this big, thick patty, like tall,” she said. “You can’t even enjoy any lettuce, tomatoes, cheese or ketchup… You can’t have them all in at the same time. It really pisses me off.”
“Production [the burgers] Thin,” she told the audience.

The conversation then turned to potato salad, a polarizing topic for the couple. Schroeder said potato salad is the perfect choice for a Fourth of July party, but Clark wanted to talk about dips, specifically the popular brand Dean’s.
“Dean’s is so disgusting, you need to make your own!” Schroeder sighed. “You get a bag of French onions and you mix it with sour cream. It tastes so much better,” she insists. “Dean’s actions were foul.”

Before transitioning to their ideal barbecue drink, the pair came up with other suggestions, including a seven-layer infusion.
Clark suggests going from Miller Lites to tequila-based cocktails like margaritas. He even suggested a pina colada, a drink Schroeder couldn’t imagine her husband making.

“When have you ever made pina colada at a barbecue?” she quipped.
Schroeder explained that her favorite drinks come in cans, such as hard seltzer.

However, the conversation ended up going nowhere, with Schroeder and Clark revealing they didn’t have any concrete plans and weren’t sure how they would spend the holidays with their toddler and baby. Schroeder welcomed her second child, a son, in September. They also have a 3-year-old daughter.
