Ryan Garcia says he’s “in rehab” after making racist comments about black people and George Floyd and anti-Muslim comments.
Garcia apologized for his comments in a lengthy post on Instagram, saying “if you are triggered by a word, you are too sensitive.”
“Let me be clear, I actually support the black community. I accept the racism of Tim Bradley calling me a zoo animal on ESPN,” Garcia wrote in a post. The message is listed Printed and screenshotted.

“Then turn the other cheek, but I’m a racist because everyone gets drunk and says s— people say it all the time, including black people… God knows my heart and knows how I’m going to protect black children , until the day I die.
Garcia said he was “making anti-black comments about black crimes” and “they were taken out of context.”
“Including Muslims [sic] I am against pedophilia in every religion [sic] And how I don’t support this.
The title of this article is a bit conservative, though. Garcia said he was “eliminating” the N-word from my vocabulary and “sincerely apologized”[d] If I have hurt and offended anyone.

“But my pain deserves to be felt, black and brown people have always been united. And always will be. I’m just a little shallower than you, but I love you and I love black kids so much that I would** for As a black kid, I was actually against black crime. [sic] Sorry,” he wrote.
Garcia later commented on his post that he was “going to rehab too.”
“And it was my friends who made me say the word and hype me up without any excuse,” he wrote. “My high school friends also used to @actually [sic] Forcing me to say it. That’s how I grew up.
In another post, Garcia wrote that he “actually said[s] Very high opinion of Muslims.
After the virus incident, world boxing council President Mauricio Suleiman announced on X that Garcia had been expelled from the organization.
Garcia’s explicit rant comes after he was suspended for a year by the New York State Athletic Commission after testing positive for a banned substance during his April fight with Devin Haney. He tested positive for ostarine, which is not a steroid but can stimulate muscle growth and is on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s list of banned substances.
