Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., tried to help the media with a list of nine questions to ask a presidential candidate. The list is filled with questions about the candidate’s character, but oddly enough , these issues are mostly ignored.
Fetterman’s Nine Questions:
1) Ever slept with a porn star?
2) Have you ever bribed someone?
3) Impeached?
4) Devoured by revenge?
5) Vow to pardon the January 6 uprising?
6) Pay $25 million in fines to some bad colleges?
7) Commit to becoming a dictator?
8) Ever destroyed Roe?
9) Ever defeated Trump?
Fetterman affixed the list to a POLITICO article about the “nine questions” ABC’s George Stephanopoulos should ask the president.
It has nothing to do with the fact that the ABC interview seems deliberately focused on addressing the problems of the Beltway media rather than the concerns of American voters, and we are currently watching a repeat of the Beltway media of 2016—but intensified.
But BeltNews won’t be satisfied, because no matter what Joe Biden does, he’s not going to be a cash cow for Donald Trump. He’s not going to give them the reality TV show they need.
They were obsessed with then-presidential candidate and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails and her pneumonia; their apparent disdain for her colored the coverage. Although Trump failed to articulate a clear policy plan beyond changing the Republican National Committee’s platform to help Russia, he passed on freedom of the press and freedom of propaganda. certainly So far The Beltway media should have more reason to feel the same way they do about Clinton about Donald Trump. Convicted rapist and liar Who was convicted of 34 crimes felony A jury composed of his peers. However, they didn’t.
Of course, if presidential competency was indeed the issue, then the “objective” media would look at both candidates and realize that, regardless of his stuttering speech due to a lifelong stutter, Biden is currently running the country And his tenure isn’t even over yet.
Why don’t we see a front-page story about Trump, a man who was on tape bragging about sexual assault, a convicted rapist, and a series of credible accusations?
Why didn’t the Beltway react with collective horror at Trump’s “dictator” comments one day and his refusal to say he would respect the election results because they all knew his administration’s plans to pass “Project 2025,” this “great experiment in self-government” “finished?
Maybe the media is just a reflection of who we are as a country (thanks to other media choices that are, ironically, perhaps most perfectly designed to stimulate organized labor), a superficial institution obsessed with reality TV and electing presidents based on it. About who survives on the island: who is the greediest, who is the best predator, who is the most selfish.
Fetterman’s final point about “defeating Trump for good” is one that Democrats should remember, who are helping a wannabe dictator seek power behind the scenes but are too timid to speak his name.
Joe Biden may stutter, and he’s old. He was also a great president, and like Roosevelt, Roosevelt also struggled with a disability, but it didn’t hurt his ability to govern the country.
Joe Biden also defeated Trump in 2020.
Biden is too well known to the public after a lifetime of public service to be discredited by the usual fear-mongering machine of lies. He has impeccable personal character, and he’s showing it to us right now because he didn’t interfere when his own Department of Justice prosecuted his son for something that most others didn’t. He also served as vice president in the White House for eight years, and President Obama gave him the responsibility to help Biden become the White House candidate in 2021, ready to help a country struggling under the weight of violence – a dictator who incited an attempted coup and the global Trump has responded to the pandemic by further dividing the country, taking pandemic resources away from blue states and handing them out to loyalists like rewards.
The entire country believes that having a nobody like Trump as president is fatal.
Fetterman is leading the way for Democrats. This election is about Joe Biden’s personality. This is about the character of Donald Trump. It’s about the president’s ability. It’s about intention. This is respect for this country.
It’s also about who has defeated the dictator-in-waiting.
