Recently, Seattle University School of Law held a webinar on Trump v. United States and the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on presidential immunity. The video is now available and I’ve included it in this post. I was one of the participants, along with many other legal scholars and commentators. The first panel included Professor Holly Brewer, Department of History, University of Maryland; Smita Ghosh, Appellate Counsel, Center for Constitutional Accountability; Professor Darren Hutchinson, Emory University School of Law; Professor Lee Kovarsky, University of Texas at Austin School of Law; Professor Justin Levitt, Yola School of Law; and Professor Claire Wofford, College of Charleston. The speakers in the second group are Professor Jeremiah Chin from Seattle University School of Law and University of Washington School of Law; Professor Rachel Lopez from Temple University Beasley School of Law; Professor Jed Sugarman from Boston University School of Law; ‧Professor Tsai; Professor Steve Vladeck of Georgetown University Law Center; Andrew Wright of K&L Gates; and myself. My contribution happened to be the last in the second group. It started around 2:37:20.
I analyze and criticize the court’s decision in more detail here .
