President Joe Biden addressed the nation after a shooting of Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania, condemning political violence while calling for national unity.
The President said:
All federal agencies provided a comprehensive briefing on the situation based on what we know now. I tried to contact Donald. He’s with his doctor. Obviously, he’s doing a great job. I plan to talk to him soon. I hope. When I got back to the other end of the phone. look. America does not tolerate this kind of violence. It’s sick. It’s sick. This is one of the reasons we must unite this country. We cannot allow this to happen. We can’t do this. We do not tolerate this behavior. So I want to thank the Secret Service and all the agencies, including state agencies, who are working to ensure that others in the audience who may have been injured, we have more details. I don’t have that detailed information. We will provide it for you. Maybe I can come back later tonight. The bottom line is Trump’s rallies, which he should have done peacefully without any issues.
But this idea, this idea that there is political violence and violence in America is unheard of. It just doesn’t fit. Everyone, everyone must condemn it. Everyone. I’ll keep you posted and I’ll let you know if I’m able to speak to Donald. But so far, he seems to be doing pretty well. First. Second, they are thoroughly investigating what happened to others in the audience. We have some reports, but not final reports, and every agency in the federal government, I’ll be back on my call with the federal agencies getting together again to give me the latest briefing. Did something happen. They learned a lot more over the next few hours so thank you very much and I hope to talk to him tonight and I’ll get back to you if I can.

President Biden is doing what a president should do in these circumstances. The president called for unity and tried to cool things down. Republicans, meanwhile, are blaming President Biden and calling for his arrest. Republicans are proving that even trying to shoot their own leaders is not enough to stop them from playing partisan political games and working with the rest of the country.
