In a call with reporters, the Biden campaign was quick to blast J.D. Vance’s support of Plan 2025 and his willingness to be Trump’s criminal lackey.
Biden-Harris campaign chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon told POLITICO America on a call with reporters:
I would say that the stark contrast between these two competing visions was certainly nowhere more evident than in the election of Donald Trump as vice president, and Vance was clearly one of Trump’s vice presidential bets, and he brilliantly Passed the “Make America Great Again” litmus test.
He chose J.D. Vance, Trump’s choice, as his running mate because he would do something Mike Pence wouldn’t do on January 6. Going to great lengths to support Trump and his extreme MAGA agenda, even if it means breaking the law, and certainly no matter the harm to the American people, he wholeheartedly supports Trump’s agenda, I guess we’d say Trump and Vance’s 2025 plan agenda That’s it, full of great ideas.
He is proudly anti-abortion and wants to bring women back to where they were decades ago. He supports a nationwide ban on abortion, criticizes exceptions for survivors of rape and incest, saying two wrongs do not make a right, and calls the situations inconvenient. He strongly opposes the Affordable Care Act and its protections for millions of Americans with congenital conditions, writing an op-ed in The New York Times opposing the bill.
He calls Social Security and Medicare the biggest obstacles to any true fiscal sanity. The list could go on and on, but the bottom line is that Trump and now Vance’s 2025 plan will hurt hard-working Americans. We have seen these actions and ideas implemented and the American people cannot afford another four years.
So as Trump heads into the general election, they’re facing a Biden-Harris race. I would definitely take this race any day of the week and do it twice on Sunday. Because while Trump and Vance’s agenda is focused on themselves and their wealthy donor friends, President Biden and Vice President Harris are fighting for the American people.
They are building their economy from the bottom up and the middle out. They are focused on lowering costs, defending reproductive freedom, and ensuring everyone has a chance to live the American dream. So, with Trump’s vote confirmed, we know more than ever that our rights are our freedoms and that our democracy is at stake.
This November, our campaign will focus day after day on this and the contrasts we see as we look at President Biden’s vision for America in which we save our democracy, protect our rights and freedoms, and A vision that creates opportunity for everyone. Front and center comparison. When voters go to the polls this fall and vote early, they will choose President Biden and Vice President Harris over Trump and Vance.

The Biden campaign could not have chosen a better running mate for Trump if they had chosen Vance themselves. Trump chose an extremist white man who has fought against the rights of women, gay and transgender Americans and democracy for all of us.
