Colombian football federation president Ramon Jesulen and his son were arrested over a fight during Sunday’s Copa America final in Miami.
The Miami-Dade Police Department said Mr. Ramon, 71, and Ramon Jamil, 43, were taken into custody on suspicion of assaulting an officer or employee.
The charges relate to a brawl that broke out at the stadium after Colombia lost 1-0 in extra time to Argentina.
Neither Mr. Ramon nor his son have commented publicly on the issue.
The incident occurred shortly after a football game at Hard Rock Stadium in the southeastern United States, the Miami-Dade Police Department said in a statement to the BBC.
