Tech executive Musk plans to donate about $45 million a month to the super PAC behind President Trump, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Musk, who leads Tesla (NASDAQ: Tesla), SpaceX (space), xAI and X, are supporting America PAC. Other backers of the PAC include Palantir (PLTR) co-founders Joe Lonsdale, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, former U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft and her husband Joe Craft, CEO of Alliance Resource Partners (ARLP),news media Add to.
The Wall Street Journal quoted a person familiar with the matter as saying that the political action committee was formed in June to focus on registering voters and trying to get them to vote early and require mail-in ballots in swing states.
According to the New York Times, many other tech executives, including venture capitalists, have also donated to the fund. The Times added that as of June 30, Musk had not donated to the PAC.
