President Joe Biden will call for major reforms to the Supreme Court, including ethics reforms and term limits for judges.

President Joe Biden is finalizing plans to approve major changes to the Supreme Court in the coming weeks, including legislative proposals to create term limits for judges and an enforceable ethics code, according to two people familiar with the plans.
He is also considering whether to ask for a constitutional amendment to remove broad immunity from the president and other constitutional office holders, people familiar with the matter said.
Biden’s shift on the Supreme Court is huge and very smart. The Supreme Court has never been more unpopular. The conservative majority on the Supreme Court is corrupt, rogue, and out of control. Term limits for Supreme Court justices mean justices like Alito and Thomas will retire and be replaced by two new justices chosen by President Biden.
Biden’s support for Supreme Court reform is also politically astute because it puts reproductive rights issues at the forefront while leaving Trump and Republicans to defend their deeply unpopular Supreme Court majority.
If Biden wins this election, Democrats could retain the Senate and win back the House.
The stakes get higher in 2024, as a Democratic victory could mean the end of Alito and Thomas.
