Joe Biden, 81, who canceled a speech after testing positive for the coronavirus, was seen struggling to ascend the short stairs of Air Force One in Las Vegas. The White House said Biden will fly to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, to recuperate.
Footage posted by Reuters reporter Nandita Bose shows a weak and unsteady Biden hesitating several times as he slowly climbs the 14 steps of the shorter Air Force One staircase, which he has been using Air Force One stairs to avoid embarrassing public falls.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre issued a statement on the multiple vaccinations of Biden who contracted the new coronavirus again. And a statement from the “President’s Doctor”:
Earlier today, President Biden tested positive for COVID-19 following his first event in Las Vegas. He has been vaccinated and had a booster shot and is experiencing mild symptoms. He will return to Delaware, where he will self-quarantine and continue to fully perform all of his duties during this time. The White House will provide regular updates on the President’s status as he continues to perform the full duties of his office while in isolation.
A note from the President’s physician:
The President this afternoon developed upper respiratory symptoms, including rhinorrhea (runny nose) and a dry cough, along with general mail sickness. He felt fine during the first event of the day, but since he was not feeling better, we performed a COVID-19 point-of-care test, which came back positive for the COVID-19 virus. In light of this, the President will self-quarantine in accordance with CDC guidance for symptomatic individuals. PCR confirmation testing will be pending. His symptoms remain mild, with a normal respiratory rate of 16, a normal temperature of 97.8, and a normal pulse oximeter of 97%. The President has received the first dose of Paxlovid. He will self-quarantine at his home in Rehoboth.
Biden was diagnosed with the new coronavirus the day after the interview, in which he said he might withdraw from the presidential race, where he is currently trailing President Trump, if he was told he had a “health condition.”
