Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) introduced articles of impeachment against Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee.

Ogles’ articles of impeachment claim Harris committed high crimes and misdemeanors by failing to uphold the nation’s immigration laws.

This is the same trick House Republicans tried to pull when they tried to impeach Secretary Mayorkas. Mayorca’s impeachment case was consigned to the Senate dustbin after the Senate found that the articles of impeachment sent by the House did not contain impeachable offenses.
The articles of impeachment against Vice President Harris are a shameless abuse of power, but if House Republicans are desperate enough, don’t be surprised if they make a serious effort to impeach Harris.
The vice president is unknown to much of the country, leading to a bipartisan race to define her.
Donald Trump has no recourse against Kamala Harris, and House Republicans are eager to help provide him with some talking points.
