The Best Greek Pasta Salad Recipes
Nothing screams summer like a pasta salad. It’s the perfect entertaining meal and a light and refreshing way to enjoy pasta and vegetables. I absolutely love the Greek salad flavor, so why not mix it with some pasta for a hearty meal? This is truly the best Greek pasta salad recipe for many reasons, but if you need some convincing, allow me to share a few with you:
- All-in-one meal – Once the pasta is cooked, you can mix everything together in a bowl. Easy prep and cleanup!
- Favorite meal prep – This Greek Pasta Salad gets better with time. Throw together a quick and easy lunch recipe on the weekend that you can whip up throughout the week.
- Favorite dinner party – Preparing for a potluck dinner or family barbecue? Make this recipe! It serves the crowd and is always a fan favorite.
- Easy customization – Use any quick pasta you have on hand or toss it with any veggies you like. You can even make it vegan by omitting the feta cheese.
Required raw materials
- Short cut pasta – Rotini, Fusilli, Macaroni and Bow Tie are all great
- cherry tomatoes – Or use grape tomatoes
- English cucumber – You can add any cucumber here (Persian cucumber works well)
- bell pepper – any color
- shallots – Use green onions or white onions if necessary
- kalamata olives – You can use different olives or omit if you don’t like olives
- feta cheese – or use different shredded cheese, or omit if vegetarian
- greek salad dressing – Olive oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt and black pepper (or use store-bought)
How to Make Greek Pasta Salad
Easy exchange and substitution
- Add protein – For a little extra protein, top your salad with grilled chicken. I like to use one of these chicken thigh marinades.
- Use store-bought dressing – Keep things simple by using store-bought Greek salad dressing. This can save you time or help you when you are short of ingredients. Use about 1/2-1 cup and add to taste.
- Change pasta – Any quick pasta can be used in this recipe. I like rotini or fusilli, but penne or bow tie pasta would also be great.
- Make it gluten-free – Make a gluten-free pasta salad recipe using gluten-free pasta instead of regular pasta.
- Throw away the cheese – For a completely vegetarian recipe, you can omit the cheese.
Storage instructions
