For three days, members of the liberal media have been excited that Kamala Harris will save the Democratic Party in the 2024 election now that they are rid of Joe Biden.
A new poll from Emerson College shows otherwise.
Trump still leads in all battleground states. The only place Kamala has shown traction is in Wisconsin, where Emerson polling found the state evenly matched.
Poll from Emerson College:
July 2024 swing state polls: Harris trails Trump in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, tied in Wisconsin
A new Emerson College Poll/Hill Poll finds Vice President Kamala Harris trailing former President Donald Trump in four states and tied in Wisconsin. In Arizona, 49% support Trump and 44% support Harris. In Georgia, 48% support Trump and 46% support Harris. In Michigan, 46% support Trump and 45% support Harris. In Pennsylvania, 48% support Trump and 46% support Harris. In Wisconsin, 47% support Harris and Trump respectively…
“Harris has won some votes for the Democratic presidential nominee since the fallout from the June 27 debate,” said Spencer Kimball, executive director of the Emerson College Poll. “Harris’ numbers are now Reflecting similar levels of support for Biden in March.”
Hot Air notes that Trump’s approval ratings are also improving:
Harris may not be the only one showing improvement. RCP has yet to tally the Trump vs. Harris battleground polls, but their Trump vs. Biden totals are still rising. In each of these states, Trump’s Emerson numbers are the same as or better than the RCP’s overall average for Biden. Harris isn’t taking votes away from Trump, just picking up voters who are leaving Biden — and Harris may not be as enthusiastic about her once she has to jump directly into the campaign trail.

This is what Kamala calls the “honeymoon” phase. Wait another week or two until people have a chance to hear more from her.
