According to police reports, a bullet passed completely through the wall of a Valley Village apartment and struck the next-door neighbor.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, patrol officers in the North Hollywood area received a radio call about “shots fired” in the 5600 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, they found a person inside the apartment suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics later pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Los Angeles Police Department homicide detectives responded to the call and discovered that a bullet fired from the apartment next door penetrated the wall and struck the victim.
No additional information about the shooting has been released, and authorities are withholding the victim’s identity until next of kin can be notified.
