The new Harris-Walz ticket releases its first campaign video, which should worry Trump and Republicans.
video:
Growing up, I learned to be generous to my neighbors, to compromise without compromising my own values, and to work for the common good.@KamalaHarris I both believe in the common good–America’s fundamental commitment. We are ready to fight for this. As she said:… pic.twitter.com/5SfrDRqx7C

Governor Walz said in the video:
Sometimes life is as much about the lessons you learn as the lessons you teach. When I grew up, community was a way of life. There are 24 people in my high school class. I’m related to half of them. I learned to be generous to my neighbors, to compromise without compromising my own values, and to work for the common good.
My father served in the Army, and at his encouragement I joined the Army National Guard when I was 17 years old. I used my VA benefits to attend college and become a public school teacher. I have coached football and taught sociology for 20 years. I try to teach my students what small town Nebraska taught me.
Respect, compromise and serve the country. So when I went into government, that’s what I took with me. I worked with Republicans to pass an infrastructure bill, cut taxes for working families, and signed a paid leave law. After Roe was overturned, I codified abortion rights. Because I work for the common good.
Enough about me, let’s talk about you. Because that’s what this election is about. This is about your future. This is about your family. Vice President Harris knows this. She also grew up in a middle-class family. She also goes to work every day to make sure the family is not just getting by, but moving forward. We believe in the promise of America, we believe in the values I learned at Nebraska, and we are prepared to fight for them.
Because as Kamala Harris says, when we fight, we win.
Walz makes no mention of Trump or Vance in the video, but shockingly, Governor Walz emphasizes what Donald Trump is not by pointing out who he is. Trump is not from the Midwest and he doesn’t understand small town values. Trump does not do bipartisanship and compromise.
If there’s one message that stands out in this video, it’s that Democrats care about ordinary people and will fight for them.
It’s everything the Republican Party is not, and that’s why the Republican Party has a big problem.
