Downtown Music Publishing (DMP) has entered into a global agreement with Double P Records, the record label and publishing imprint founded by George Prajin and Mexican music superstar Peso Pluma.
Through this partnership, Downtown Music Publishing will provide comprehensive global management and synchronization placement services for current and future releases from Double P Records.
Launched in April 2023 in partnership with Prajin Parlay Inc, Double P Records is home to some of the most renowned songwriters in the Mexican music industry, including Peso Pluma, Jasiel Nunez, Estevan Plazola and Prajin Music’s Jesús Roberto Laija García (Tito Double P) publish.
With over 52 million monthly Spotify listeners, Peso Pluma has been a key figure in the resurgence of the corridos genre, which blends traditional Mexican corridos with modern influences such as trap, hip-hop and reggaeton.
The deal will also include management of Peso Pluma’s own publishing interests, including his latest double album, Exodus Since its release in June 2024, the song has been streamed more than 86 million times on Spotify and peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Double P’s collaboration with Downtown also includes Peso Pluma’s previous album Genesis, It earned him his first Grammy nomination and the win for Best Mexican Music Album in 2024.

Meanwhile, Downtown’s Artist and Label Services arm represents a variety of other notable artists and labels in the Latin and Mexican music scene. Most recently, the company signed a deal with singer-songwriter Beto Vega and expanded its partnership with powerhouse record label Kartel Music, whose client, musician-composer Luis R. Conriquez debuts at No. 1 on Spotify’s top albums with the album. Corridors of War, Volume Four. The album also became the highest-charting new album on the Billboard 200 chart.
