MSNBC contributor Anand Giridharadas appeared on “Morning Joe” this week and praised the selection of Tim Walz as Kamala Harris’ running mate.
Of course, he made it all about race, suggesting that Walz and Harris together would make it easier for older white people to see the “joy” their administration would bring. He even suggested that Walz would make people see “the joy of having your boss be a black woman,” whatever that means.
Identity politics is everything to the left. That’s all they care about.

MSNBC guest celebrates ‘joy’ that Walz’s ‘boss is a black woman’, calls him ‘white public service announcement’
Anand Giridharadas, a guest on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” said Gov. Tim Walz was dismayed to see his “boss is a black woman” on Wednesday. People were “happy,” adding that he was a “PSA for white people.”
“[Walz] Tell old people and white people, “You don’t need to be afraid of the future.” There is joy in the future. It’s nice to have your boss be a black woman. It’s exciting to see what’s coming, and I think he’s going to teach a lot of people in addition to his role in the election and the White House. “He’s going to teach a lot of people through his role in the culture.”
Giridharadas added in a social media post after the MSNBC appearance that “Walz” “is a public service announcement to white people, old people, men, rural people and others: You don’t need to be afraid of the future.”

People on the left have been calling Trump and Vance weird. What would they call this?
