Atlanta Falcons safety DeMarcco Hellams and rookie linebacker Bralen Trice suffered injuries to their left legs in Friday’s 20-13 loss to the host Miami Dolphins. Injured and sent off.
Hellams suffered the injury while chasing a ball on a screen pass in his second defensive play of the preseason. His legs were placed in the air before he was taken off the field.
Telles was injured late in the first half.
“As far as I know, we had two injuries in the game and it felt bad,” Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said. “I’ll have a better feeling when I get a chance to have the doctors see those guys (Saturday) – that will be when Tris and Hellas are both taken off the car.”
Hellams, 24, is expected to compete with Rich Grant for the starting job against Pro Bowler Jesse Bates III. Hellams had 40 tackles in 15 games (four starts) during his rookie season in 2023.
Terrys, 23, was selected by the Falcons in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Washington.
