Hours after an article about Trump’s advisers imploring him to take a more focused and sensible approach was published, the former president went berserk on social media.
Axios reports:
After the failed assassination attempt, President Trump’s advisers were deeply troubled by his meandering, caustic and often middling public performance.
Advisers tell CNN they implored him to adopt a new “tough” campaign pitch that would frame Vice President Harris as liberal and weak. And pray that he stops the urge to do it again and just improvises randomly.
By this time, even Trump’s advisers know that calls for focus and calm are illusory at best, but even they may not be prepared. Trump started a conspiracy, calling all Kamala Harris rally crowds artificial intelligence and fake.
The conspiracy was futile because independent news organizations filmed the crowds and spoke to people in them. different from trumpBecause he strictly controlled what was filmed and even the camera angles used, reporters were able to get more footage and photos of Harris’s crowd from different angles and vantage points.
Donald Trump has shown no message discipline since the 2016 campaign. When he entered the White House, his ability to stick to his message went out the window. Remember when all of Trump’s Infrastructure Weeks were not about infrastructure because Trump couldn’t get the message across?
The former president’s incoherent ramblings escalated during the 2020 campaign and have now reached his rally crowds leave him or fall fell asleep, Just like Trump now vents for hours without a center point.
Trump is losing this election now. The polls are expected to get worse as Democrats convene their national convention, but at this rate, there may not be much left for the former president by the time the debates begin on Sept. 10.
