We’re once again in the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs, with just 70 players and far more riches remaining in contention for this year’s title.

What is the FedEx Cup?
It’s a season-long points race on the PGA Tour that ends with one player – the Tour Championship winner – taking home a $25m (£19.6m) prize.
How will the playoffs work?
After the Wyndham Championship in early August, the top 70 players advanced to the first playoff event, the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind.
After the tournament, the top 50 players will qualify for next week’s BMW Championship in Denver, while the top 30 players will advance to the Tour Championship finals in Atlanta.
What happens then?
At the Tour Championship, the FedEx Cup leader will start at 10 under, the second at 8 under, the third at 7 under and the fourth at 7 under. At 6, the fifth player was 5 under.
