Double-digit offers and a surge in 2026 quarterback recruiting led to Jackson Presley’s preseason decision.
The Kalispell (Mont.) Glacier standout, who threw for more than 3,000 yards and 32 total touchdowns as a sophomore in 2023, publicly committed to the Boise State Broncos on Monday afternoon.
“I went to Boise and really fell in love with it,” Presley told Rivals. “The school, the campus, everything that’s going on there. They throw the ball, their offense is very quarterback-friendly. A lot of great quarterbacks have come from Boise.
“I also have a great connection with the coaches there. Coach (Steve Cooper)…Coach (Spencer) Danielson, the head coach, fell in love with his development and how he How to care about every player.
While some programs have had a longer run on the latest Bronco, the connection between the program and its future quarterback was hastily established this offseason.
“In the spring, Boise extended an offer to me,” Pressley said. “Coach Matt Miller, the receivers coach and passing game coordinator, came to watch me play the passing game in school. We developed a great bond and he actually played at Montana State High school ball, playing with or against all my coaches.
After an unofficial visit to campus, there are quite a few similarities to the natural outdoor environment the budding recruit enjoys off the field. There are the same things to like on the pitch and in the dressing room.
“In Boise, I was able to showcase all my talents,” he said. “Their offense is very similar to my high school. It’s spread out so I’m able to show off everything I can do. They have amazing facilities, great staff, great nutrition and everything a top college has to offer plus that The iconic blue field.
“It’s up to Oklahoma State and Boise. The deciding factor was the coach at Boise State and the love Coach Danielson preached to me and all his players. They truly care about their players and will take care of them and want to make They are in the best position to win.
Now that Pressley is a senior on a successful college program, the spotlight around him is sure to grow over the next two years before he commits to Boise for good. After that, he doesn’t expect to spend time climbing the depth chart.
“I’m a competitor and I want to win and be with a good group of people,” he said. “That’s why I chose Boise. I’m blessed to have God’s guidance on my journey to become a Bronco.
“After 2026, when my senior year is over, it’s time to head to Boise and start playing.”
