San Francisco’s last remaining Denny’s has closed its doors for good.
Restaurateurs claim customers often eat and leave restaurants without paying and that they receive no support from the city. Denny’s has now joined dozens of companies pulling their retail stores out of the crime-ridden city.
The last Denny’s in Oakland, California, closed back in February, also because of crime.
This is what progressive governance looks like. That’s what Kamala Harris and Walz want to bring to the rest of the country.
The New York Post reports:
San Francisco’s last Denny’s closes amid dining frenzy
The owner of San Francisco’s last remaining Denny’s restaurant said it closed this month because customers often left without paying their bills in the crime-ridden city.
Chris Haque closed the 24-hour restaurant at 816 Mission St. near Union Square on Aug. 1 after 25 years.
“We were the only store left, and we were open until the last day,” Huck told SFGATE.
“The cost of doing business is huge. There is vandalism here, people come to eat and then walk away and no one stops them.
Harker also lamented that business conferences, a major source of revenue, have dried up in recent years as the tech industry shifted to hybrid work during the pandemic.
“It’s a beautiful city – we love it and we’ve been there for years,” Haque said.
“But I think [city officials] It should be made more business-friendly.

You know you’re a dirty city when your last Denny’s has closed due to crime.

The people who run the city of San Francisco should be embarrassed. They allowed their cities to be destroyed.
