From its explosive first two installments, to its permeation into every other aspect of pop culture, it’s one of those franchises that we notice when anything new is released. and Alien: RomulusDirector Fede Alvarez’s new film does that and more.
The film is based on the events of Ridley Scott alien and James Cameron’s alienwhich left about sixty years of space to fill. But do you need to rewatch those movies to understand everything? What about the other two direct sequels, the two more modern prequels, and those? relatively Movie?
Well, we have good news and even better news. The good news is, enjoy everything to the fullest Alien: Romulus You don’t need to do any homework. It’s just intended to be a cool movie with a simple story that anyone can understand. The better news, though, is that if you do watch any of the other alien Movies you’ll find something to enjoy and appreciate on another level.
Of course, the most important thing is the original work. this is the only one Romulus There are some direct connections. We’re not going to break the connection here. So if you only have time to watch one, go watch one. Other than that, any other movie you watch—“Alien”, “Alien 3”, “Alien Resurrection”, “Prometheus”, “Alien: Covenant”— not a direct connection, but reminds you of Alvaraz’s sprinkles in the movie. So, for example, if you just watched alien resurrection (as I did) – Well, let’s just say, there were moments when I was pointing at the screen with as much excitement as Rick Dalton once upon a time in hollywood Memes. This goes for almost every other movie as well. There is a direct link to the 1979 original, everything else is the colors of the palette Alvarez used to paint.
But at the same time, let’s be honest. Every day gets better when you relive it alien or alien. Your day will definitely get better later this week when you see Alien: Romulus. Opens Friday.
